About
History:
For many years, Alberta Hutterite Colony educators have been exploring options to establish a provincial organization but were unable to form their own specialist council due to small numbers.
On January 20, 2018 a group of interested colony educators met with the ATA and formed a special interest group under the English as a Second Language Specialist Council.
The Alberta Colony Educators Specialist Council is a new organization committed to excellence in Hutterite education in the province of Alberta.
What do we do?
- Support new Hutterite Colony educators through information, PD and mentorship
- Support and sponsor professional development for Colony educators through regional and provincial events
- Communicate and collaborate with Hutterite educators and other stakeholders across Alberta and with other Colony educator organizations across North America
- Recommend and develop resources and publications for use in Hutterite education.
- Promote English as a Second Language Specialist Council membership, events, publications and resources for Hutterite educators
